Summer Bonding with Glue Dots

>

I really enjoy crafting as a hobby. I like to make pretty things for my home, hair bows and tutus for my daughter, and scrapbooking when I have the time. When I find a product that makes my crafting easier and better, I'm all for it! I was recently given the chance to try out Glue Dots from a campaign on Twittermoms. I have to say, I was very excited when I received my package full of the different types Glue Dots makes.

If you are not familiar with Glue Dots, they are just like the name sounds-little adhesive dots! They are so easy to use, even my 3 year old can use them for art projects. They come in a hand held dispenser and all you do is just "roll" them where you want them. It is much easier, not to mention safer for the little ones, to use than a hot glue gun. Also, you don't have to wait for the glue to dry, which is great for impatient people like me! You can learn more about Glue Dots here.

I had many ideas come to mind when thinking of projects to do using my Glue Dots. I finally decided to do a pretty decoupage on canvas for a friend of mine. First I painted the canvas with a wonderful pink. Then I used my Glue Dots to hold my cut-outs onto the canvas. Lastly, I coated a finish over the whole thing and Done!! I think it turned out really great, and the Glue Dots worked perfectly. It was really nice not having to wait for the glue to dry for me to finish it up. What do ya think??

I really love the Glue Dots, and have used them for other things already. My daughter has a wooden hanging on her bedroom door that would bang everytime the door shut. I put a few Glue Dots on the back of the plaque and stuck it right to the door. No more banging!! They will not damage the door when its time to remove them. Also, my kids both have used them to make collages. There are numerous ways to use them!!
